Terms of Service

Welcome to 2TONEU

These Terms are an agreement between you and 2TONEU ("2TONEU," "we," "us," "our") covering your access to and use of the 2TONEU website, web app, and any version you install as a Progressive Web App (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing 2TONEU, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Service.

2TONEU is currently operated by its founder as an individual, based in Victoria, Australia, rather than through a separate registered company. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the operating entity.

What 2TONEU is

2TONEU deals every player the same nine tasks each day. You mark off the ones you complete, earn points, build a streak, and see how you compare with other players on public leaderboards. There's no photo or task verification. 2TONEU runs on an honour system, and what you get out of it depends on how honestly you use it.

Who can use 2TONEU

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware of, and has agreed to, your use of the Service. We may ask for proof of age or guardian consent at any time, and may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe this requirement hasn't been met.

Your account

When you sign up, you agree to:

• Provide a real, working email address, and keep it up to date;
• Choose a username that doesn't impersonate another person or brand, and isn't offensive (our sign-up screen already blocks a list of disallowed words, but passing that check doesn't guarantee a name is acceptable, and we can still ask you to change it);
• Keep one account per person, and keep your password confidential;
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.

You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. We're not liable for losses caused by someone else using your account because you didn't keep your login details secure.

Acceptable use

2TONEU only works if the leaderboards and community mean something, so when using the Service you agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, multiple accounts, or any other automated or dishonest means to inflate your points, streak, or leaderboard position;
• Harass, bully, threaten, or hatefully target another user, whether inside the Service or in our linked community spaces;
• Impersonate any person or organisation, including 2TONEU staff;
• Send spam, unsolicited friend requests at scale, or otherwise abuse the friends system;
• Try to access another person's account, or any part of the Service you're not authorised to access;
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the task database or leaderboard data for a competing product;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including its servers or networks;
• Use the Service for anything unlawful.

We can remove content, rename a username, or take the actions described in Suspension and termination if we reasonably believe you've broken this section.

Leaderboards, profiles and other players

Your username, points, streak, longest streak, badges/marks, and leaderboard rank are visible to other people using the Service. That's the point of a leaderboard and a friends system. Your email address and password are never shown to other players. Don't put anything in your username or profile that you wouldn't want visible to anyone else using 2TONEU.

Discord and our other community spaces

We link to community spaces we don't operate ourselves, including our Discord server, Instagram, and TikTok. Those platforms have their own terms and rules, separate from these Terms, and your use of them is between you and that platform. We may still remove you from an official 2TONEU community space (like our Discord server) if you break these Terms or that platform's own rules.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe you've broken these Terms, at our discretion and depending on how serious the issue is, with or without advance notice. You can stop using the Service at any time. To ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it, email us at the address in Contact us. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.

Intellectual property

The 2TONEU name, logo, branding, task database, and the design of the game itself belong to us or are licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use the Service for your own personal use, but you may not copy, redistribute, or build a competing product from its content or design without our permission. Your account and any progress, points, streak, or marks within it have no monetary value and can't be sold, gifted, or transferred to anyone else.

Availability, changes and no guaranteed outcomes

We provide the Service on a best-effort basis. It may be unavailable from time to time, and its features may change or be removed as the product develops.

2TONEU is a habit-tracking tool, not medical, health, or professional advice. The daily tasks are general suggestions, not tailored to you personally, and we make no promise about any personal, health, or lifestyle outcome from using the Service. If a task involves physical activity, diet, or anything else that could affect your health, use your own judgement and check with a qualified professional if you're unsure.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 2TONEU is not liable to you for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service, or from any third-party service we link to (such as Discord, Instagram, or TikTok). Where liability can't be excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to AUD 100.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold 2TONEU harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever we do, and if a change is significant, we'll make reasonable efforts to let signed-in users know. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and 2TONEU both submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria for any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
